old books from my elder brother who is only a class higher than me so
my parents only have to buy only one set of books each year.

1) Madbooks is a famous site where you can sell your old books. They accept all types of books like Engineering, Management, and Fictions etc. There is no listing fee and you need to register and authenticate yourselves before start selling. You also need to mention condition of the book like As good as New, Moderately Used or Old. Once you receive the order books need to be sent through registered post or reputed courier company. 2) Bookadda is a website which uses social media to sell old books. You must have a Facebook account to use it. They are having an app called bookshelf which allows you to create virtual bookshelf. You need to install this app in your Facebook account and create your own bookshelf. Here you can buy/sell books and see what other peoples are reading. Check FAQs here
3) Olx: Yes you can sell books on Olx also. Click few photographs of your books and submit an ad.
